Rodney Whitfield
Rodney Whitfield is an Associate of TranSystems | The ACCESS Group with experience in various industries including chemical, pharmaceutical, textile, utility, construction, automotive, printing, hotel, and food and beverage. Rodney has held positions of project manager, technical consultant, and plant operations and maintenance engineer. Rodney has worked with companies such as BF Goodrich, Toro, IBM, Bayer, Block Drug, Polaroid, York Compressors, Coca Cola, Exxon, LA Times, BBA Fiberweb, and Thyssen Krupp.
Rodney possesses strong computer and electronic skills as well project management and business management methodologies. Rodney began his career as a quality assurance engineer in the textile industry. During his career he has become well versed in numerous aspects of plant operations including preventative maintenance procedures, scheduling, and inventory control. Rodney has excellent implementation, troubleshooting, and training skills with a broad range of CMMS (computerized maintenance management systems) and ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems. His knowledge of CMMS extends well beyond the software capabilities to include the practical applications as well. Rodney’s background gives him the ability to advise companies on the selection of the best systems to meet the required needs and then set those systems up with the proper information. He also served clients in making corrections to CMMS systems that have been improperly established or neglected. Rodney has skills in all areas of effective, proactive maintenance operations. He has been involved in the development of high profile plant operation procedures from start-up as well as conversions from paper to paperless standard operating procedures. Rodney has excellent interpersonal, communication, and teaming skills. He is a seasoned professional in many vertical markets and portrays both hands-on and leadership characteristics.
Rodney is a graduate of Clemson University were he majored in biological sciences with emphasis on bio and mechanical engineering. He has also successfully completed many advanced training courses in the areas of computer software, TPM, procurement, and plant engineering
