As part of the project, TAG will review your current processes and equipment and will help you find ways to update/modify as necessary. TAG will then analyze and process map the current product, material, and information flow in order to fully understand the processes involved. From this macro data, TAG will help you develop a lean "optimized" layout and incorporate these new flows into the new facility layout and operations plan. TAG and your team will then review this proposed layout and develop the final footprint for your new facility. Upon revision and final approval, this block diagram plant layout will be provided to you (and your contractor if you have new construction or significant modifications) with locations for equipment identified for final detailing and integration.
Making these improvements is critical for implementing positive change. The analysis and development work that goes into this process is a key element of building construction or modification, equipment move sequencing, equipment or systems procurement planning, start-up planning, and for minimizing risk to the customer.
