Tim Daniel

Mr. Tim Daniel is an Associate of TranSystems | The ACCESS Group with over thirty years of experience in various industries including petrochemicals, oil and gas, solid rocket propulsion, aerospace, and automotive. Tim has held positions as Operations VP/General Manager, Managing Consultant, Director/Manager of Program Management/ Engineering/Customer Service/Tooling/Manufacturing Engineering/Lean, Program Manager I/II/III, Supply Chain Manager, Tech Service Engineer, and Naval Officer. Tim has worked with companies such as Hercules, Monsanto, Occidental, TRW, ITT, Textron, LockheedMartin, Vought, Texas Instruments, Chrysler, General Motors, Toyota, Ford, and the US Army/Navy/Air Force/Marine Corp.

Tim possesses strong Lean, Program/Project Management, Operations Management, and Supply Chain skills.  He began his career as a Tech Service Engineer and worked his way into increasingly more responsible positions in a broad range of job assignments giving him a wide knowledge of operational and technical management. Tim’s lean journey started in 1990 when he began working as a supplier to Toyota. Over the next 5 years, Tim learned the Toyota Production System as a hands-on student. He initiated his Lean Leadership activities in 1995 and has successfully led LeanSigma Projects and Campaigns eliminating waste and saving millions of annual dollars in numerous venues in 20 years of on-going and ever increasing tactical and strategic Lean Leadership. Tim is an expert problem solver who uses consensus driven methods to reach rapid solutions while teaching and mentoring those involved. Possessing excellent cognitive, interpersonal and teaming skills, Tim is a seasoned professional who portrays both hands-on and leadership characteristics.

Tim holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University, an MBA in Quantitative Analysis from National University, and a LeanSigma Master Black Belt. Tim is also a former Naval Aviator, TopGun Student, and Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy.
