Mark Thouin

Mr. Mark Thouin is an Associate of TranSystems | The ACCESS Group and has more than thirty years of experience in various industries including automotive, plastic molding, printing, electronics and machine fabrication. He has held positions as an Industrial, Process and Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, as well as served in many project management roles. Mark has worked worldwide with companies such as Automotive Industries, Lear Corp, IACNA LLC, Plastic Moldings Corp., Reyes Automotive, Resource Label Group, EPEC LLC, and Zanesville Electronics.  He possesses strong skills in project management with emphasis on cost control, lean manufacturing and innovative problem solving. He has played a vital role in many plant startups involving new product lines and personnel.

His background includes plant efficiency evaluation as well as error-proofing techniques using the latest technologies, including RFID. He has a proven track record of successful implementation of assembly equipment and processes on numerous major projects and is familiar with Basic and Ladder Logic computer programming languages. Mark has an exceptional talent in utilizing plastic joining processes which include ultrasonic, vibration welding, heat staking and spin welding. He is also knowledgeable in various methods of product traceability, from raw materials to final pack out and labeling. He has integrated part tracking with QAD and SAP. Mark has successfully proven his ability to communicate with all levels of employees and motivate the workforce. He is a seasoned, hands-on team player who leads by example.

Mark's education is from the University of Cincinnati. He has also taken Lean Manufacturing courses at Purdue University and completed Time Study, Methods Engineering and MTM I, II, III at the Maynard Research Council. Other coursework certifications include SLC-500 Programming w/RSLogix 500 from Rockwell International and Fundamentals of Ultrasonic Welding from Branson Plastic Joining.
